Level 2, above Hardware Lane. The doorway is a plain one between two awnings, with a single lit stairway and a small brass plate. Lift access is through the same entrance, on the right before the stairs.

Friday and Saturday
5 pm until 1 am
Sunday
2 pm until 9 pm, Monday closed unless hired

How to reach the desk

  • Ring the desk on the number on this page. Someone picks up from an hour before opening until close, and during the day a host usually answers while the room is being set up.
  • Use the form on this page for bookings more than a week out, private room enquiries and anything you would rather put in writing. It reaches a screen behind the bar.
  • Or come up and ask on the landing. The host at the lectern can take a booking, show you the programme on the board and walk you through the rooms before you commit to a seat.

What happens to what you send

We use your name, your number and your message to answer your enquiry and to hold your booking. Nothing goes to an advertiser, a data broker or a mailing list, because we do not run any of those.

Enquiries are cleared out within twelve months, and sooner if you ask. Ring the desk or write through the form and say you want your details removed, and the host on shift will do it and tell you it is done.
